Call For Papers
The research centre on the Christian Orient of the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and the Christians in the Middle East Research Network based in Scotland, plan to hold a joint workshop under the title
‘Relations between Christian churches in the Near and Middle East – theological, historical and political-cultural aspects’.
We particularly invite paper submissions from scholars working across these and other disciplines, and are interested in innovative and creative approaches to questions that arise, based on qualitative and quantitative research using textual, oral or other sources. Working languages will be English, German and French, though since publication is being considered, English might be preferred. The workshop will take place 16-17 September 2011 at the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany.
Abstracts of about 300 words with a short (100 words) biography should be sent to Prof. Heinz Otto Luthe christlicher-orient@ku-eichstaett.de and Dr. Michael Marten michael.marten@stir.ac.uk by 3 May 2011.

Einladung zur Arbeitstagung (Call for Papers)
Die „Forschungsstelle Christlicher Orient“ der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt veranstaltet in Zusammenarbeit mit dem „Christians of the Middle East Research Network“ der University of Stirling, Schottland, am 16. und 17. September 2011 in Eichstätt eine interdisziplinäre und internationale Arbeitstagung zum Thema
„Beziehungen zwischen den Kirchen im Nahen und Mittleren Osten – Theologische, historische und politisch-kulturelle Aspekte“.
Wir laden Forscherinnen und Forscher aus den genannten Disziplinen mit eigenen Arbeiten zum Themenbereich der Tagung zur Teilnahme ein. Arbeitssprachen werden Englisch, Deutsch und Französisch sein.
Interessenten sind gebeten, eine Kurzfassung Ihres Beitrags (300 Worte) sowie eine Kurzbiographie (100 Worte) bis zum 3. Mai 2011 zu senden an:

Invitation à la soumission des communications (Call for Papers)
En collaboration avec le „Christians of the Middle East Research Network“ de l’Université de Stirling, Écosse, le „Centre d’Études sur l’Orient Chrétien“ de l’Université Catholique d’Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Allemagne, organisera un colloque international et interdisciplinaire sur le thème
„Relations entre les églises au Proche et Moyen-Orient – Aspects théologiques, historiques et politico-culturels“.
Ce colloque aura lieu à Eichstätt le 16 et le 17 septembre 2011. Chercheurs provenant des disciplines mentionnées sont invités d’envoyer d’ici le 3 mai un résumé der leur communication (300 mots) ainsi qu’une note biographique (100 mots). Les langues du travail seront l’anglais, l’allemand, et le français.
Les résumés, notes biographiques ainsi que des questions éventuelles concernant l’organisation sont à envoyer par courrier électronique soit au Prof. Dr. Heinz Otto Luthe christlicher-orient@ku-eichstaett.de, soit au Dr. Michael Marten michael.marten@stir.ac.uk.
